From a young age, I felt drawn to the law. My high school yearbook even declared my intention to go to law school.
But life, as it often does, had other plans, and my focus shifted to my family and the responsibilities of our farm. I pursued a degree in Agricultural Science from Texas A&M and immersed myself in the world of agriculture.
Years later, a chance encounter with family rekindled my interest in the law. With renewed determination, I took the LSAT, dusted off my old dreams, and embarked on a new path.
Despite juggling night classes with the demands of raising three young children, I never missed a single one of their events. It was a challenging but rewarding journey, proving that sometimes, life takes you on a detour to get you where you’re truly meant to be.
My practice areas reflect the diverse tapestry of my life experiences. But it was insurance cases, particularly cases against insurance companies, that truly captured my heart. Initially fueled by a desire to take on the Goliaths of the industry, my perspective shifted after a chance encounter with an insurance adjuster. I discovered that even within a system often perceived as adversarial, there was room for compassion, understanding, and genuine human connection.
I’m not a crusader, but I do believe there’s nobility in helping those in need. Whether it’s a 72-year-old widow whose roof collapsed or a family struggling to rebuild their lives after a tragic accident, I find deep satisfaction in using my skills to advocate for those who need it most. My team and I don’t walk away from challenges; we embrace them, offering support and guidance every step of the way.
My faith and life experiences have shaped my philosophy when it comes to working with clients. I believe in honesty and transparency, setting realistic expectations, and providing a fair and accurate assessment of their situation. I believe in building strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect. And above all, I believe in keeping it real, offering support and guidance – not just empty promises.
My clients often thank me for my genuine approach, for being a real person who listens and understands their needs. They appreciate my honesty, my responsiveness, and my ability to adapt to their changing circumstances.
